Happy Cinco de Mayo. No, we are not Mexican, but hey, that’s okay…another excuse to party, right? We visited Robert and Ruby’s house spending time with them and her family.
We decided to put a shed in the backyard. Too many bounce houses to store in the garage. We hired a company to lay the cement for the shed. The children got the opportunity to put their hands and name in the cement.
Happy Mother’s Day! The kids took me out to dinner. Diego had to work but worked his schedule so that he could be with me for dinner and the remainder of the evening. I am glad he did that. It wouldn’t have been the same without him.
One of our customers owns a salon and we got to talking about hair coloring. One thing led to another and before you know it, I had an appointment to get my hair done. At first the kids didn’t like it. Jeo said it was something to get used to. It was blonde and very straight. Although I’m naturally blonde, the kids haven’t seen my hair this light or straight. The following day when I put my hair my way, it did not look so blonde. Jade said it looked more like me when I styled it may way.
Diego’s school recognized Diego for taking college classes while attending school as well as taking advantage of the scholarship programs offered by the county. Diego will be receiving 2-year scholarship to the community college.
Although I knew this day would eventually get here, it arrived. Diego graduated high school, May 18, 2018. It was awesome because everyone was able to attend. This graduating class was the most this school has had graduating. I’m sure it will continue to grow, but it was exciting to see him and all his friends graduating with him. The mayor came to give a speech as well. School isn’t always fun, but it’s a great accomplishment to be finished with one chapter ready to start a new one. The fun continued after the ceremony with dinner with friends and family. Thank you to everyone who supported Diego and were there to cheer him on as the graduating class of 2018!
